on the red alert, i went with instinct. (not that i have a knack for them.)
i believe that the ever-so-flunctuating alerts are merely a ploy to keep the american people on "its toes". also, of course, to glue media attention to the "war/peace/'insert here' president bush". (refer to http://www.dubyaspeak.com/ for the fun)
furthermore, i don't believe that the republicans are willing risk another 9/11 commission especially when the public is a little more aware of bush et company's "mistakes".
such is that, a red alert would be a little overboard.
however, i could be wrong because we never know.
enlighten me with your opinions (there is no sarcasm there).
